(http://college.emory.edu/undergraduate-research/index.html). Undergraduate Research Programs at Emory supports Emory undergraduates interested in conducting independent research in Germany either during winter break or the summer. Applications available online and due in March for summer funding.

Funding for short-term (1-2 months) research in Germany in all areas of contemporary German Studies. At least junior standing and pursuing major or minor in German Studies. May 1st, July 1st, Nov 1st.

(https://thinkswiss.tumblr.com/About). Scholarships for a research stay in Switzerland. It supports highly motivated and qualified U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to do research at a public Swiss university or research institute for 2 to 3 months. The scholarship is open to students of all fields. January, see website for updated deadline

Internships

German-American Exchange Internship Program is a 3-month paid summer internships in Germany for Emory German majors & minors.

Emory College Summer Global Internship Program is an 8-week internship in Berlin plus 4-credit online Emory course. $3400 program fee + Emory tuition for 4 credits. Early Nov.

Cultural Vistas Internship Program in Germany,  3-12 month internships. Rolling application deadline except for summer (Dec 15). $1500 program fee covers placement, work and residency permit, and orientation.

Cultural Vistas Fellowship, 15 fully-funded 8-week summer internships including pre-departure and re-entry seminars in NYC for rising juniors and seniors, preference given to historically underrepresented students. Nov 15th.

German Universities of Applied Sciences Internship Program 2-6 month internship at a University of Applied Sciences. Oct 1st.

DAAD Bundestag Internship-EMGIP. Two-month internship in German parliament for advanced undergrads and grad students who are fluent in German. Sept 15th.

Study

Delta Phi Alpha German Honor Society Study Abroad Scholarships, scholarships for fall, spring, and summer study abroad for Delta Phi Alpha inductees. Nov 15th & March 15th.

DAAD University Summer Course Grant. Summer courses at German universities to help build your language skills while studying anything from film to politics to engineering.

The Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarship. Scholarships to support study or internships in Germany through a partnership between the US Department of State’s Gilman Scholarship Program and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Open to undergraduates receiving federal Pell Grants. March application deadline for summer or semester study.

Germany Close Up. Youth encounter program for Jewish North-American students and young professionals aged 18 to 39. 2/3 of costs covered.
